カトリック仙台教区のホームページへようこそ。 日本には15の教区があります。 地理的には、仙台教区は札幌教区に次いで日本で二番目に広い教区です。 青森県、岩手県、宮城県、福島県が仙台教区の管轄区域を構成しています。 教区の司教座（カテドラル）は、宮城県の県庁所在地である仙台市にあります。

Welcome to the Homepage of the Catholic Diocese of Sendai. There are 15 dioceses in Japan. Geographically, Sendai Diocese is the second largest diocese in Japan, next to Sapporo Diocese. Aomori Prefecture, Iwate Prefecture, Miyagi Prefecture and Fukushima Prefecture comprise the area of jurisdiction of Sendai Diocese. The seat of the diocese is located in Sendai City, the capital of Miyagi Prefecture.

司教紋章と説明

「心も思いも一つに」（使徒言行録4・32）

一つになることは聖霊の実りであるとともに、私たちが切に望むたまものでもあります。
シンボルの上半分は、聖霊の働き（鳩）と人間の思い（♡）の調和を表します。
下半分は、十字架と漢字の「心」から成ります。これは、いつくしみ深い神と、真(まこと)を求めるさまざまな人間が近づきあい、互いの思いが響きあっていることを示します。
主イエス・キリストに倣教会は人々と共にうめき、「あなたは一人じゃない」と呼びかけ、苦悩し、祈り、希望し、助けあい、笑いあい、感謝を捧げます。

Paliwanag Tungkol sa Sagisag

"Isang Puso at Isang Diwa" (Gawa ng mga Apostol 4:32)

Ang pagkaka-isa ay bunga ng Banal na Espiritu at isang kaloob na taimtim nating ninanais.
Ang itaas na bahagi ng sagisag ay pagpapakita ng pagsalubong ng gawain ng Banal na Espiritu (kalapati) at niloloob ng tao (♡).
Ang ibabang bahagi ay binubuo ng krus at sulat-larawan ng "puso" 心. Inilalarawan nito ang paglalapit ng Mahabaging Diyos at iba't ibang taong naghahanap ng Katotohanan, at ang pagbubukas ng kanilang isip at damdamin.
Alinsunod sa turo ng ating Panginoong Jesu-Kristo, ang Simbahan ay kasama ng mga tao sa paghibik, pagsabi ng "Hindi ka nag-iisa”, pagdalamhati, panalangin, pag-asa, pagtulong, pagtawa at pagpasalamat.

Explanation of Coat of Arms

"One Heart and One Mind" (Acts of the Apostles 4:32)

Becoming one is a fruit of the Holy Spirit and a gift we earnestly desire.
The upper half of the symbol shows the merging of the work of the Holy Spirit (dove) and our human longing (♡).
The lower half consists of the cross and the ideogram for "heart" 心. This depicts the drawing near of the Merciful God and of diverse peoples seeking for the Truth, and the meeting of their thoughts and feelings.
Following our Lord Jesus Christ, and one with people, the Church groans, calls out "You are not alone," grieves, prays, hopes, helps, laughs, and gives thanks.
