人生の試練や変化を歩む中で、私たちの旅路が、主イエス・キリストの光に導かれますように。

神は私たちのもとに来られました。それは道連れとなり、私たちの物語に耳を傾け、私たちが無駄に動き回るのではなく、平和と喜びの家へと歩んでいることを悟らせるためでした。これがクリスマスの偉大な神秘であり、今もなお私たちに慰めと安らぎを与えます。この旅路で私たちは決して独りではないのです。 私たちに命を与えた愛の神は、御独り子を遣わし、あらゆる時と場所において私たちと共にいてくださいます。そうして私たちは、苦闘の中で迷いを感じることは決してなく、神が常に共に歩んでくださると信頼できるのです。（ヘンリ・ナウエン、henrinouwen.orgより）

Christmas Message of the Bishop of Sendai

I wish you a Merry Christmas. 

Many people have visited the pilgrimage churches and sites of the Diocese of Sendai during the Jubilee Year 2025.

Welcome to the new homepage of Sendai Diocese. We are co-pilgrims.

May the light of our Lord Jesus Christ guide us as we go through life’s challenges and changes.

God came to us because He wanted to join us on the road, to listen to our story, and to help us realize that we are not walking in circles but moving toward the house of peace and joy. This is the great mystery of Christmas that continues to give us comfort and consolation: we are not alone on our journey.  The God of love who gave us life sent His only Son to be with us at all times and in all places, so that we never have to feel lost in our struggles but always can trust that He walks with us.  (Henri Nouwen, henrinouwen.org)
